Cylinder Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and physical inspections on cylinders to determine retesting or repair needs
• Conduct cylinder conversions including de-valving, valving, stripping, and repairing valves
• Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers
• Maintain required certifications for cylinder retesting
• Operate a forklift for material handling and cylinder movement
• Receive incoming cylinders, valves, and maintenance supplies
• Diagnose and repair cylinder neck leaks and safety-related leaks
• Identify and scrap defective cylinders
• Perform painting, housekeeping, and light plant maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and handle 40 - 70 lbs
• Mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the gas industry
• Experience in cylinder maintenance
