Cylinder Handler

Responsibilities

• Load and unload compressed gas cylinders and other products onto route trucks and trailers
• Roll cylinders and operate forklift trucks to move compressed gas products
• Sort empty cylinders by type and assist with inventory checks
• Review customer orders, pull items from inventory, and load them for delivery
• Perform basic maintenance including painting, labeling, and cleaning cylinders and work areas
• Handle cryogenic liquid cylinders and hazardous materials (HAZMAT)
• Complete all documentation and forms in compliance with safety and quality requirements
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace through proper housekeeping procedures
• Adhere to all safety rules, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Flame Retardant (FR) clothing

Requirements

• High school degree or GED
• Ability to roll cylinders weighing 200+ lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year
• Ability to work flexible hours within 2-3 hours of scheduled start and end times

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing or plant experience
• Experience operating a forklift
