Cybersecurity Transition Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end cybersecurity transition programs, moving services from project delivery into steady-state operations.
• Develop and execute detailed transition plans, schedules, risk registers, and runbooks in coordination with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to validate security requirements and perform security acceptance testing.
• Define and track metrics and KPIs to measure transition readiness and success.
• Oversee change management, knowledge transfer, and training activities, including the creation of operational procedures and support documentation.
• Manage third-party vendors to ensure adherence to security policies and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading transitions, program delivery, or large cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance.
• Proven knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS controls.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare, such as HIPAA.
• Strong project management skills with experience using professional project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or PMP.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity transitions within large enterprise healthcare or health-tech environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and secure cloud migration.
• Familiarity with automation, DevSecOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
