About the role
Responsibilities
- Execute cybersecurity assessments, compliance, and validation frameworks to ensure regulatory standards and security effectiveness for USSOCOM and other government entities
- Perform cybersecurity site visits, inspections, scanning, remediation, and patch compliance reviews
- Assess organizational security posture and verify compliance with DoD, DIA, and USSOCOM guidance
- Identify common security risks by analyzing findings, developing metrics, and identifying trends
- Develop Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and track remediation efforts
- Assist with required scanning and vulnerability management programs
- Maintain records documenting compliance with federal laws, directives, and policies
- Execute Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) programs and track IAVA/IAVB compliance status
- Provide subject matter expertise for the development of cybersecurity mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC)
- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Experience in system administration, architecture, or engineering
- Technical background in networking, identity management, Microsoft/Linux operating systems, or database management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with US Combatant Commands (USCENTCOM/USSOCOM)
- Knowledge of Telos Xacta or Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS)
- Familiarity with DoD IA processes and policies (NIST, CNSS, etc.)
