Cybersecurity Specialist

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end vulnerability management program, including scanning systems, networks, and applications.
• Prioritize remediation efforts based on risk and track issues through to closure.
• Research emerging threats and translate threat intelligence into practical guidance for patching and hardening.
• Lead security alert responses, including triage, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Provide on-site IT support for the Manchester office, managing hardware, software, accounts, and new starter setups.
• Participate in an on-call rota to respond to critical security incidents outside of standard office hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• Proven expertise in vulnerability and threat research and management.
• Strong IT support skills within Windows environments, networking, and common business tools.
• Proficiency with vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and SIEM tooling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NPPV3 and SC security clearances.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent UK residency to meet clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of UK data protection requirements and frameworks such as Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001.
• Experience working in a distributed team across multiple time zones.
