Cybersecurity SME

Responsibilities

• Support the definition of security objectives, scope, and requirements for the Operational Digital Twin across all layers, including infrastructure, platforms, and data.
• Perform security and risk assessments for proposed solution architectures and document threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
• Contribute to the design of security controls such as identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption, and incident response.
• Support secure-by-design and privacy-by-design practices by reviewing solution designs, APIs, and data flows.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities with client security teams to ensure alignment with national and organizational security frameworks.
• Support security testing and validation activities, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and track remediation actions.
• Prepare security documentation, operational guidelines, and deliver briefings or workshops to project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity activities for large-scale digital, platform, or enterprise solutions in infrastructure, utilities, or urban environments.
• Working knowledge of risk assessment, security architecture, and identity and access management.
• Understanding of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and security considerations for APIs and integrations with OT/IoT, SCADA, and GIS platforms.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary, multinational teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language skills.
• Experience with Digital Twin, smart city, or data/analytics platforms, including OT/IT convergence.
• Prior work with national infrastructure owners, transport authorities, or utilities.
• Cloud security certifications (e.g., Azure or AWS security credentials).
