Cybersecurity Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex fraud claims on self-directed accounts, managing full review, remediation, and reporting
• Perform root cause analysis and risk mitigation for monetary and non-monetary fraud impacts
• Manage caseloads efficiently, including client outreach and interviews to understand fact patterns
• Proactively identify recovery efforts for reported fraud transactions to recuperate losses
• Collaborate with Fraud Strategy to identify recurring fraud themes and propose actionable decisions
• Document review findings clearly and concisely for internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all departmental policies and regulatory reporting standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a financial crime or fraud investigation role
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills utilizing data extraction
• Deep understanding of payment fraud, fraud schemes, common scams, and debit card fraud
• Knowledge of BSA/AML requirements, suspicious activity reports, and applicable regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional client and stakeholder interaction
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of financial services industry products and processes
• Experience working within the banking and finance industry regarding security issues
• Previous experience in a client service or hospitality-based role
