Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts, logs, and event data from SIEM, IDS, and firewalls to identify potential incidents
• Investigate and triage security events, including analyzing network traffic and user-reported suspicious emails
• Respond to and analyze security incidents following established playbooks to contain and mitigate threats
• Conduct detailed root cause analysis to determine the extent of compromise and impact on systems
• Research emerging cybersecurity threats and leverage threat intelligence to improve security controls
• Prepare comprehensive incident reports, maintain documentation, and create operational runbooks
• Provide thought leadership by leading projects, mentoring colleagues, and offering security recommendations to leadership

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC)
• At least one relevant cybersecurity certification (highly required)
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, O365 ecosystem, and ticketing systems
• Experience working with endpoint protection tools and case management tools
• Ability to document technical processes, create runbooks, and generate detailed reports
• College degree preferred
