Cybersecurity Network Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the long-term vision and strategy for enterprise network security
• Establish architectural standards for secure connectivity, segmentation, and infrastructure protection
• Guide the adoption of Zero Trust networking principles and modern access architectures
• Serve as the technical authority for network security design across data centers, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments
• Architect large-scale security frameworks for micro-segmentation, identity-aware access, and secure service edge architectures
• Lead design reviews and approve security architecture for major infrastructure initiatives
• Advance the use of network telemetry, NDR, and behavioral analytics

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in network security engineering or network infrastructure security
• Extensive experience securing environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP networking
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes networking models and containerized infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco)
• Proficiency with network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and BGP
• Expertise in network packet analysis using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump
• Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and network segmentation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the financial services industry
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or CCSP
