Cybersecurity Instructor

Responsibilities

• Conduct a full-time, 15-week cycle of technical training in Cybersecurity using a structured curriculum
• Facilitate interactive, hands-on lab activities for class sizes of 15-24 students
• Utilize Learning Management Systems for assignments, testing, and performance monitoring
• Provide students with ongoing feedback, conferencing, and performance appraisals
• Coordinate with career coaches and learner support staff to promote student success
• Monitor and enforce program policies including attendance and dress code
• Provide input on technical curriculum, labs, and program policies to keep content current

Requirements

• At least two years of professional experience in a tech industry security role
• CompTIA CYSA+ certification (or ability to earn within 30 days of hire)
• Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications
• Experience teaching adults, preferably in an online environment
• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking, networking protocols, and Microsoft Windows OS
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows Server, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Penetration Testing
• Expert knowledge in server management, hardware, software, and virtualization
• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA, CISSP, SANS, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications
