About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support investigation, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents including ransomware and phishing
  • Monitor and respond to security events across endpoints, networks, cloud services, and applications
  • Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to identify anomalies and support threat hunting
  • Perform root cause analysis and document incidents from detection through post-incident review
  • Develop playbooks and optimize workflows to improve detection and response capabilities
  • Ensure proper evidence collection and chain of custody for forensic investigations
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, IT, and application security teams to enhance security posture

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or a related field
  • Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Experience with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR tools
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud services and application security
  • Understanding of attacker methodologies, TTPs, and lateral movement
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements like PCI, CCPA, and GDPR

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience specifically within a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Incident Response team
