Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures in collaboration with IT leadership
• Monitor and manage Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and investigate antivirus/malware events
• Investigate, analyze, and remediate malware incidents and respond to security threats
• Manage patching software and maintain OS patch schedules to ensure system security
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server environments
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established standards
• Respond to cybersecurity questionnaires from clients, partners, and regulatory bodies
• Provide Tier 1 support to end users and troubleshoot Microsoft Office products

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related cybersecurity field
• Proven experience developing and implementing cybersecurity policies
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and other relevant security frameworks
• Strong knowledge of malware analysis and incident response procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Servers, and SCCM
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP or Security+ certification
