Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support and improve the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle from discovery to verification
• Review findings from automated scanning tools, threat intel, and security advisories to prioritize based on exploitability
• Validate and deduplicate findings across multiple sources and route work to appropriate owners
• Measure scanning coverage, data quality, and authentication success rates
• Drive automation across vulnerability management tooling and processes
• Broaden scanning coverage across asset classes and evaluate scanning platforms
• Integrate software inventory and SBOM data to identify vulnerable components across software
• Build dashboards and metrics to measure coverage, SLAs, and progress

Requirements

• Hands-on vulnerability management experience in a substantial environment
• Experience with automated scanning platforms such as Rapid7, Tenable, or Qualys
• Proficiency in automation and maintaining code/configs in version control
• Ability to query and shape data and build/debug data pipelines
• Understanding of threat modeling and risk trade-offs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work under code review
