Cybersecurity Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure system architectures across enterprise IT and network environments
• Lead cybersecurity engineering efforts including system hardening, secure configuration, and risk mitigation
• Integrate security controls in accordance with RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
• Conduct advanced vulnerability analysis, threat modeling, and remediation planning
• Support system accreditation activities and provide technical leadership for ATO processes
• Mentor junior engineers and guide secure engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or IT security
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
• Required certifications aligned to DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP)
• Eligibility to obtain Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs
• Familiarity with enterprise tools such as ACAS, HBSS, or SIEM platforms
• Experience with cloud or virtualized environments
