Cybersecurity Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Support cybersecurity engineering tasks including system hardening and secure configuration
• Assist in applying security controls and patches to systems and applications
• Support vulnerability scanning and remediation activities
• Assist with documentation for RMF and security compliance activities
• Work with senior engineers to implement secure solutions

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, IT security, or related field
• Experience with system security principles, network security, or secure configurations
• Knowledge of RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity frameworks
• Required certifications aligned to DoD 8140 (e.g., Security+, CEH, CISSP)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Eligibility to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs
• Familiarity with enterprise tools such as ACAS, HBSS, or SIEM platforms
• Experience with cloud or virtualized environments
• Active Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance
