About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy machine learning and statistical models for threat detection, anomaly detection, and fraud identification
  • Engineer robust security data pipelines for ingestion, cleansing, and feature engineering using structured and unstructured cyber data
  • Analyze security tool outputs to identify control gaps, policy deviations, and emerging threat patterns
  • Partner with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and infrastructure teams to embed AI into security controls and incident response workflows
  • Conduct model performance evaluations, including bias and drift analysis, to improve detection efficacy
  • Develop visualizations and storytelling artifacts to communicate complex analytic findings to stakeholders

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data science or machine learning using Python or R
  • 4+ years of experience working with security-relevant datasets (SIEM, endpoint protection, network telemetry, etc.)
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL and big data or cloud analytics platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks
  • 4+ years of experience applying machine learning methods like classification, clustering, or anomaly detection
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related quantitative field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying AI to cybersecurity use cases like insider threat or cloud security posture management
  • Experience in the financial services or payments industry working with sensitive data
  • Experience with MLOps practices and tooling in a regulated environment
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or recognized data science certifications
