Cybersecurity Engineer - Fintech Security

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and ensure the protection of business flows, administrative panels, databases, and infrastructure in collaboration with security teams.
• Plan and execute penetration testing with a focus on business logic abuse, access groups, and database security.
• Structure monitoring strategies and continuous improvement plans for software, supply chains, cryptography, and backoffice APIs.
• Analyze Mercado Pago products and new initiatives from technical, product, and business perspectives.
• Support cybersecurity risk and incident analysis to improve product resilience and provide support to business teams.
• Collaborate with global security teams to ensure the resilience of business flows and products.

Requirements

• Mastery of AppSec methodologies and OWASP standards.
• Experience in penetration testing focused on business logic.
• Ability to perform threat modeling and apply Security by Design principles.
• Experience implementing security controls within the development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
• Proficiency in analyzing security incidents and fraud patterns.
• Ability to translate complex technical risks into strategic language for Product and Business teams.
