Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the Organizational Messaging Service (OMS) National Gateway Centers’ Command and Control mission
• Provide hands-on systems and network engineering support to sustain and enhance OMS backbone
• Apply patches and change system configurations via Group/Local Policy and Windows registry
• Resolve security findings on systems and deploy Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) modules
• Support the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process by providing responses to security controls and gathering evidence
• Ensure system compliance with DISA STIGs, ACAS scans, and IAVAs

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot or equivalent AI solutions
• DoD 8140 qualified certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group/Local Policy, and Registry
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and batch commands
• Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SSBI with SCI

Preferred Qualifications

• System Administration experience
• Experience with CYBERCOM’s Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) notices
• Experience installing and configuring DISA's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
• Experience with DoD's Endpoint Security Solution (ESS/HBSS)
• Working knowledge of public key infrastructure and encryption systems
