Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform field verification of cyber assets to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications
• Develop, document, and maintain the cybersecurity asset register and other key deliverables
• Lead and facilitate cybersecurity risk assessment exercises and implement recommended mitigations for design and vendor packages
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning teams by validating firewall rules, secure remote access, endpoint hardening, and access control
• Oversee the development and execution of architecture standards and FAT/SAT/CSAT procedures
• Coordinate with vendors and engineering teams to resolve punch points identified during field verification
• Support OT cybersecurity handovers to operations, including incident response alignment and asset inventory management
• Contribute to the OT Cybersecurity Operations Model, including monitoring, patching, and disaster recovery

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, or Process Automation preferred)
• 10-15 years of experience in Operational Technology (OT) or a related field
• At least 3 years of focused experience in designing, building, or validating cybersecurity for industrial control systems (ICS)
• Proven experience with Saudi cyber standards including HCIS, NCA, and CRA, as well as ISA 62443 industry standards
• Strong understanding of control systems such as SCADA, DCS, and PLCs
• Technical knowledge of protocols including Modbus, PROFINET, DNP3, and IEC61850
• Proficiency with cybersecurity technologies including Firewalls, IDS, Anti-Virus, and vulnerability assessments
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams and vendors

Preferred Qualifications

• OT/ICS cybersecurity accreditations such as ISA/IEC62443 or SANS
• Additional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools including Visio, SharePoint, and Teams
