Cybersecurity Detection and Response Analyst

Responsibilities

• Develop and use monitoring tools to protect firm infrastructure, employees, and data
• Handle incident response and remediation when threats are identified
• Perform methodical, unstructured investigations to locate and repair security issues
• Improve detection capabilities, automation, and operational efficiencies
• Perform proactive threat hunts
• Act as an ambassador for cybersecurity best practices and personal security hygiene across the firm

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience
• Strong scripting ability in a fully featured programming language
• Comfortable managing code and configs in version control
• Familiar with threat modelling and communicating trade-offs to stakeholders
• Able to explain cybersecurity decisions and approach personal security thoughtfully
• Adaptable under pressure with a humble, curious, and collaborative attitude
