Cybersecurity Assessment Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct application and network layer penetration tests on various IT environments
• Perform red teaming activities, including physical security penetration testing
• Execute independent penetration testing using manual techniques and source code analysis
• Write risk-prioritized finding reports and consult with system owners on remediation
• Evaluate the effectiveness of defensive countermeasures and assist blue teams with detection capabilities
• Perform exploitation analysis and author custom exploitation tools and techniques
• Conduct ACAS and OpenRMF compliance scans for classified networks
• Work with security frameworks including CIS, OWASP, and MITRE ATT&CK

Requirements

• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
• 9+ years of experience working in cybersecurity enclaves
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ISSO role
• Proficiency in system administration and software development disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an ISSM
• Expertise in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Authorization (ATO) processes
• Programming experience in Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, or .NET
• Experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp, Nmap, Kali, and Metasploit
• Experience developing security control implementations across NIST SP 800-53 control families
