Cybersecurity Analyst

Responsibilities

• Own daily alert triage across the security tool stack, including network detection and endpoint protection platforms.
• Serve as the primary internal liaison to the managed SOC partner, validating their monitoring reports and integrating outputs into compliance evidence.
• Maintain the security event log, documenting every incident from detection through resolution, including containment and post-incident reviews.
• Produce audit-ready evidence, including log samples and monitoring reports, to support cybersecurity certifications.
• Manage the compliance tracking platform by uploading regular monitoring reports and control status updates.
• Coordinate with the InfoSec Engineer and Compliance Program Manager to ensure logging is correctly configured and monitoring coverage is demonstrable.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC analysis, or cybersecurity monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint protection and network detection platforms in an operational capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to write and maintain incident response documentation, such as incident logs and post-incident reviews.
• Experience working with or alongside a managed security operations provider.
• Familiarity with audit logging requirements and log review processes.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by U.S. export regulations due to ITAR requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience supporting a formal cybersecurity compliance effort and mapping operational outputs to compliance controls.
• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or Chronicle.
• Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, CISA, or progress toward CISSP.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
