Cybersecurity Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using traditional tools and AI/ML-powered threat detection systems
• Perform triage, investigation, and correlation of security events to determine severity and impact
• Leverage Google Chronicle for threat intelligence, log analysis, and enhanced visibility
• Investigate and analyze security incidents, utilizing AI to automate initial analysis and enhance threat hunting
• Respond to security incidents following established procedures, including containment, eradication, and recovery
• Develop and maintain automated workflows for common security incidents to improve response times
• Create detailed reports on incidents, threat intelligence, and SOC performance for stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1+ years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a similar security-focused role
• Hands-on experience with security analytics, log management, threat hunting, and incident response
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, Mitre, or ISO
• Experience with security tools including IDS, SIEM, and security automation platforms
• Ability to work onsite during 3rd shift hours (12AM - 10AM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with Google SecOps tools and Chronicle
• Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) platforms
• Exposure to cloud security platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft security platform (Sentinel, Defender)
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
