About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support risk mitigation efforts for Cyber Defense Operations (CDO) to protect information assets and critical data from emerging threats.
  • Analyze security logs and system data to identify anomalous, irregular, or malicious activities.
  • Execute cyber management processes to respond to, investigate, and report on identified security incidents.
  • Maintain and manage security tools and technologies, including malware detection, DDoS protection, IDS/IPS, DLP, and anti-spam solutions.
  • Conduct research, trend analysis, and event correlation across network, OS, database, and application logs.
  • Identify and recommend actions to address vulnerabilities and inconsistencies in existing security processes.
  • Participate in cybersecurity awareness training and advise on industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call and shift rotations as required.

Requirements

  • University Degree (Bachelor's).
  • 3 years of experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
  • 2 years of experience in incident response within a SOC environment.
  • Proven experience leading cyber incident response efforts.
  • Experience in threat hunting.
  • Strong understanding of the Incident Response lifecycle.
  • Understanding of enterprise-wide information systems security architecture.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills for documenting incidents and providing technical insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, CASP, GCIH, or SANS certifications (e.g., 504, 503, 500, GREM, GXPN).
  • Knowledge of advanced threat intelligence and vulnerability management capabilities.
