Cybersecurity Administrator

Responsibilities

• Oversee security operations, threat management, and MDR platform administration
• Lead incident response, cyber recovery, and post-incident reviews
• Manage vulnerability assessments, risk registers, and cloud security oversight
• Administer Identity and Access Management (IAM), including MFA and RBAC
• Ensure compliance with CJIS security policies and regulatory requirements
• Develop and manage a cybersecurity awareness program and phishing simulations
• Align security practices with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS policies
• Evaluate vendor security posture and participate in procurement reviews
• Develop and present cybersecurity KPIs and reports to IT leadership
• Serve as the primary contact for MS-ISAC and engage with the Mississippi Cyber Initiative

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience/coursework)
• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or network security
• 3-5 years of experience with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
• Proficiency in IAM, MFA, and conditional access
• Familiarity with CJIS security policy and regulatory compliance
• Valid Mississippi Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a government or regulated environment
• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA SecurityX (CASP+)
• CISSP
• CISM
• Microsoft Security, Compliance, or Identity certifications
• GIAC or equivalent security certifications
