Cyber Threat Hunter Intern

Responsibilities

• Engage in detection engineering to address complex cyber threats using multiple data sources
• Develop anomaly detection capabilities based on top cybersecurity risks
• Research and develop alerting mechanisms for threats from APT groups and malware developers
• Collaborate with Data Scientists on the development of User Behavioral Analytics models
• Work closely with Adversary Emulation (Red Team), Threat Intelligence, SOC, and Incident Response teams
• Utilize Python and Frontier AI models to develop detection capabilities, malware analysis, and reverse engineering
• Analyze malicious malware samples and create detections based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework and TTPs

Requirements

• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages including Python, SQL, and JS
• Understanding of the Kill Chain phases and MITRE ATT&CK framework TTPs
• Experience with data lake solutions and query languages such as Splunk or Elasticsearch
• Knowledge of cybersecurity controls and products across endpoint and infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of computing architecture, OS internals, and CPU architectures
• Hands-on experience in malware analysis and reverse engineering
• Experience working within a cybersecurity team or security vendor
• Proficiency in C++, C#, or Assembly
• Digital Forensics skills including memory, network, OS, or disk forensics
