About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and implement enterprise-wide cyber security strategies aligned with banking business and technology landscapes
- Design and govern secure architectures across network infrastructure, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and identity ecosystems
- Embed security-by-design and zero trust principles across core banking, trading, and payment systems
- Provide SME oversight for key domains including Network Security, Cloud Security, IAM/PAM, and Application Security
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management activities using NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS frameworks
- Oversee security operations including SOC, SIEM, SOAR, and incident response strategies for ransomware and breaches
- Ensure compliance with global regulations such as DORA, GDPR, and SWIFT CSP
- Manage third-party and supply chain cyber risks by defining onboarding controls and continuous monitoring standards
- Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, translating technical risks into business impact
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant cyber security experience specifically within the banking or financial services industry
- Proven expertise across network, cloud, IAM, application, and data security domains
- Hands-on knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
- Technical proficiency with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), cloud security services, and IAM tools (Okta, Azure AD, CyberArk)
- Experience with security operations tools including SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel), SOAR, and EDR/XDR solutions (CrowdStrike, Defender)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on technical level
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CCSP
- Cloud-specific security certifications (Azure or AWS Security)
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and large-scale cloud transformation programs
- Exposure to AI-driven cyber security and automation technologies
