Cyber Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

Responsibilities

• Detect cyber security events and incidents in real time through centralized monitoring
• Analyze security events from multiple sources including SIEM, EDR, AV, and Firewalls
• Respond to and contain cyber security incidents while identifying eradication strategies
• Communicate incident status to Lead analysts and Managers
• Identify process improvement areas and new opportunities in security technologies
• Drive knowledge sharing and support the Fusion Center's "follow the sun" model

Requirements

• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and protocols
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems
• Knowledge of IT architecture and basic scripting ability
• High-level understanding of phishing and malware techniques
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, IT, or Computer Science (or relevant industry experience)
• Strong time management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a Cybersecurity bootcamp
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
• A strong passion for the field of Cyber Security
