Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and upgrade security measures including Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Data Loss Prevention to protect network infrastructure.
• Monitor network and system activity to detect, analyze, and mitigate unauthorized access and security breaches.
• Perform vulnerability management and penetration testing to identify and remediate system weaknesses.
• Serve as a first responder for security incidents, providing swift analysis and remediation.
• Develop and maintain secure network designs adhering to CMMC, NIST 800-171, and NIST 800-53 standards.
• Collaborate with Software DevOps and IT teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
• Build automated monitoring alerts and response playbooks to improve incident response efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure protection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Proficiency with network tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Qualys, and Splunk.
• Experience with security architecture and cloud security management products.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
