Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop security policy-compliant architectures in AirC2 and mission-support areas
• Produce specifications for cloud-based or on-premises components and interfaces
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot security products and services
• Integrate local security services with centralized security infrastructure
• Apply and maintain security controls based on organizational policy and risk assessments
• Identify technical risks and suggest countermeasures to mitigate them
• Support investigations of suspected attacks and security breaches
• Perform technical assessments of information systems against assurance policies
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk treatment plans
• Define and manage requirements for small-scale and complex change initiatives

Requirements

• BSc in a technical subject with 3 years of post-related experience (or 5 years of extensive progressive experience in lieu of a degree)
• 3+ years of experience in security monitoring, PKI, vulnerability management, and IAM
• Experience researching and evaluating security products and technologies
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows system and network administration
• Technical knowledge of Zero-Trust and Data-Centric architectures
• Ability to evaluate risks and formulate mitigation plans
• Proficiency in writing structured technical reports in English
• Ability to verbally brief technical staff in English
• Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an international environment with military and civilian elements
• Knowledge of NATO organization and internal structure
