Cyber Security Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Develop Python/Shell security automation scripts and CI/CD-integrated workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD
• Perform secure code reviews across Python, Shell, Java, and REST/JSON APIs to automate vulnerability management
• Conduct security scoping and onboarding assessments, including vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk analysis
• Review Solution Architecture & Design Documents (SADDs), AWS environments, and orchestration workflows for compliance gaps
• Build secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for cloud provisioning
• Monitor security events using Splunk and manage security issues through Jira and ServiceNow

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a Cyber Security Engineering role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, Security Groups, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Config
• Solid development and scripting skills in Python and/or Shell
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and orchestration platforms
• Proficiency with Splunk for security monitoring and log analysis
• Understanding of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment methodologies
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001
• Experience with Linux environments and DevSecOps practices
