Cyber Security Engineer I - Application Penetration Testing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct application penetration tests of complex computer systems from a remote location
• Coordinate third-party vendor testing and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Analyze and document test results with high technical detail for stakeholders and application owners
• Track vulnerabilities and security metrics to ensure timely mitigation
• Stay current on new tools, TTPs, vulnerabilities, and emerging cyber threats
• Aid in defining and documenting internal penetration testing processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in systems engineering, networking, or information security OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of experience in those fields
• Expertise in application penetration testing
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments
• Experience with Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Jira, and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in testing web applications and databases
• Experience with pentesting frameworks such as OWASP and PTES
• Strong ability to develop professional security reports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Relevant certifications such as OSWE, GPEN, or GWAPT
