Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks and resolve incident tickets using the ServiceNow delivery platform
• On-board customer assets including operating systems, applications, and network devices
• Lead exploration of emerging technologies and provide technical evaluations
• Perform Linux and Windows systems administration and engineering tasks
• Facilitate enablement, collection, and verification of customer data within SIEM tools
• Develop SIEM search queries to support Enterprise Audit service requirements
• Coordinate Beta-testing for future enhancements to the Audit Enterprise system

Requirements

• TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• B.S. degree or equivalent relevant experience
• 7-10 years of related cybersecurity experience
• DoD Directive 8570.1 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Expert level Linux systems administration and TCP/IP networking knowledge
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python, or Perl
• Experience with Splunk (Architect or Core Consultant certification preferred)
• Experience with Cribl
• Cloud environment experience (AWS services like SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with the Certification & Accreditation process
