Cyber Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AI-based penetration testing initiatives and frameworks
• Configure, manage, and optimize CTI sharing platforms like MISP and OpenCTI
• Implement NG-SIEM solutions using ELK stack, Graylog, Wazuh, Grafana, and others
• Deploy and fine-tune NG-SOAR platforms such as Shuffle, Wazuh, TheHIVE, Cortex, and IRIS
• Configure and maintain behavioral IDS/IPS systems including Snort, Suricata, and SecurityOnion
• Stay updated with security trends and CACAO Standards (STIX 2.1, TAXII)
• Contribute to technical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security engineering
• Experience in software design and development
• Proven experience deploying CTI, NG-SOAR, NG-SIEM, and IDS/IPS solutions
• At least 2 years of experience in National and European research programs
• Fluency in English and Greek
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification at MSc or PhD level
• Familiarity with CACAO Standards (STIX 2.1, TAXII)
