About the role
Responsibilities
- Update internal processes to increase Information Security Team efficiencies
- Document current and future Linux and Microsoft network architectures
- Develop and update robust cybersecurity policies to maintain system security
- Administer security measures to ensure compliance with government authorization requirements
- Maintain and administer networks using tools such as Trellix, Splunk, Veritas Backup Exec, and Nessus
- Perform configuration and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers using Ansible scripting
- Monitor and troubleshoot closed Windows Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) environments
- Review and audit event logs, create system backups, and monitor system performance
- Utilize STIG Viewer and SCAP to create OS/SW baselines
- Use PowerShell scripting to automate tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM) from an accredited institution
- 4 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity policies and server management
- US Person status (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected status)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Proficiency with Linux and Microsoft servers
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11
- Ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing Security Clearance
- Experience with Microsoft administration (patching, AD, DNS, DHCP, and event log management)
- Experience implementing and configuring Splunk and Veritas Backup Exec
- Experience maintaining Cisco Catalyst Switches and UPS systems
- Robust network troubleshooting experience
- IAT Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or ISC2 CISSP
