Cyber Security Architect

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and advise on zero trust architecture maturity models and roadmap phased adoption.
• Design and implement network security architectures including SDN, SASE, and API gateways.
• Apply NIST SP 800-207 frameworks, focusing on micro-segmentation, least-privilege access, and continuous verification.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) systems across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, DevOps, and compliance to align architecture goals with business objectives.
• Prepare technical roadmaps, schedules, and management plans.
• Produce high-quality technical writing and documentation for senior leadership and technical personnel.
• Track project dependencies, process improvements, and technical integration challenges.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
• Proven experience with Zero Trust architecture frameworks (NIST SP 800-207).
• Expertise in modern network security such as SDN, SASE, or API gateways.
• Experience with cloud-native IAM (AWS IAM, Azure AD, or Google Cloud IAM).
• Strong background in program management and technical writing.
• Ability to work onsite in Herndon, VA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) and UEBA platforms for threat landscape analysis.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) to automate scalable security solutions.
• Background as a Network Architect or Security Architect.
• Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related technology discipline.
