Cyber Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Defend against cybersecurity incidents and identify, analyze, and contain threats
• Respond to alerts and events to protect the Agency’s IT security posture
• Characterize and analyze network traffic and server/cloud performance metrics
• Perform patching on workstations, servers, and network equipment
• Conduct network monitoring and intrusion detection using firewalls and host-based security systems
• Support the creation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid incident identification
• Coordinate with OTI and ITOPS on IT inventory and security audits

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree with 24 semester credits in computer science or a related field plus one year of computer software experience; OR
• High school diploma plus five years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience; OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience as specified
• Experience in computer systems development, applications programming, or database administration
