About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform security procedures to protect information system assets from unauthorized access or destruction
- Manage and analyze Information Security tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Assist with Computer Security Incident Response (CSIR) activities and coordinate with IT teams and business units
- Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify and remediate security issues
- Communicate security alerts and potential compromises to cross-functional teams regarding network infrastructure, applications, and operating systems
- Assist in the implementation of countermeasures and mitigating controls
- Prepare detailed incident reports covering analysis methodology and results
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in information security
- Proficiency in event analysis, incident investigation, and log analysis
- Deep understanding of networking, the threat landscape, and digital forensics
- Knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Understanding of IDS/IPS systems, Windows, Unix/Linux, and firewalls
- Experience with scripting and protocol analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or GIAC (GCIH, GCIA, GCFE, GCFA, GREM)
- Experience with open-source and commercial security management tools
- Advanced knowledge of penetration techniques and DDoS mitigation
- Experience in strategic information security planning
