Cyber Incident Response Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents
• Analyze state, federal, and international data breach and privacy laws
• Draft legal notices of data breaches to individuals and regulators
• Respond to regulatory investigations arising from data breaches
• Oversee forensics investigations and third-party vendors for e-Discovery and data mining
• Advise clients on legal notification obligations
• Draft crisis communications and reports to insurance carriers
• Interface with clients, senior management, and IT staff
• Prepare legal budgets

Requirements

• JD from an accredited Law School
• Admitted to Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of legal experience
• 3+ years of experience in data privacy and security, specifically in incident response
• Strong knowledge of privacy laws including HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, and GDPR
• Excellent research and writing skills using Lexis and Westlaw
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
