Cyber Incident Responder Specialist

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various tools including SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS to identify potential incidents.
• Perform triage, correlation, and in-depth analysis of security events, such as indicators of compromise (IOCs), malware, and phishing.
• Conduct forensic analysis on systems, networks, and endpoints to determine the root cause and scope of incidents.
• Develop and implement response strategies to mitigate immediate threats and prevent recurrence.
• Support the implementation, tuning, and monitoring of security tools like firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Document incidents thoroughly, including timelines, impact assessments, and remediation actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, network, and security engineering teams during response activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of technical experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), incident response, or a related cybersecurity role.
• Demonstrated experience with security monitoring and investigation tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk) and EDR platforms.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and enterprise security controls.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
