CVD Process R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and industrialize CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) plasma growth processes for synthetic diamonds
• Design and improve plasma growth processes by analyzing physico-chemical parameters and their impact on material properties
• Define experimental protocols and transform results into robust, reproducible industrial processes
• Characterize materials to identify defects and analyze physical mechanisms, focusing on reducing dislocations and developing ultra-pure materials
• Support scaling efforts, including increasing substrate size and improving equipment reliability

Requirements

• Engineering degree, Master's, or PhD in Materials Physics, Materials Chemistry, Process Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in R&D within academic or industrial environments
• Strong foundation in materials physics and/or chemistry
• Experience with experimental processes, ideally involving plasmas (CVD, MOCVD, PVD)
• Understanding of vacuum environments and associated constraints
• Ability to work in complex experimental environments and analyze fine physical phenomena

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the semiconductor industry or with advanced materials (SiC, GaN, etc.)
• Proficiency in data analysis and equipment manipulation
