Cutting List Draftsman (Joinery)

Responsibilities

• Convert approved interior design concepts and architectural layouts into detailed, millimeter-accurate joinery shop drawings and manufacturing details
• Prepare precise material cutting lists for MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneers, laminates, and hardware, including dimensions and grain direction
• Use nesting and cutting optimization software to maximize material yield and reduce factory waste
• Specify and integrate hardware such as hinges, sliders, locks, and brackets into drawings with appropriate tolerances
• Review site survey dimensions and as-built measurements to adjust production drawings before fabrication
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors, CNC Operators, and Estimators to clarify design intent and troubleshoot manufacturing constraints

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on drafting experience specifically within high-end joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing
• Advanced expertise in 2D/3D CAD software, with AutoCAD proficiency being mandatory
• Deep understanding of wood joinery construction methods, wood species, veneering, laminates, and modern hardware systems
• Exceptional mathematical and spatial skills to compute geometric allowances, edge-banding deductions, and tolerances

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with specialized joinery/woodworking software such as IMOS, Cabinet Vision, WoodWOP, or AlphaCAM
