Customs Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform daily functions to ensure timely fulfilment of customs obligations
• Classify items with high accuracy for both imports and exports
• Communicate with carriers, customs brokers, foreign suppliers, and freight forwarders
• Perform audits on import and export entries and report findings
• Organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment
• Work with management to create and implement policies and procedures
• Monitor customs regulations and identify potential compliance risks

Requirements

• 5+ years of import and export trade operations experience
• Knowledge of U.S., Canada, and Mexico import/export regulations (CBP and PGA)
• Proficiency in HTSUS classification
• Experience in trade compliance (country of origin, free trade agreements, FTZ, valuation)
• Familiarity with ACE for import and export
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SAP and ONESOURCE
• Bachelor's Degree in International Business or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• U.S. Customs Brokers License
• Certified Customs/Export Specialist
• Knowledge of logistics operations
