Customs Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Execute and determine product eligibility for multiple trade agreements to maximize duty avoidance for the US region
• Collect and audit USMCA and other FTA Certificates issued by ZF plants and vendors
• Analyze technical data to assign appropriate HTS, country of origin, and other required compliance data elements in ERP and compliance software
• Determine proper import/export classifications, valuation, and country of origin/marking for products and raw materials
• Support and operate the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) in compliance with the FTZ Operations Manual
• Respond to information requests from corporate supply chain personnel, customs brokers, and freight forwarders
• Create and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with ZF brokers and suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 4-5+ years of related operations experience within a US Customs regulatory environment
• Strong background in tariff classification and country of origin issues
• Deep knowledge of US Customs regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel and Access
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Licensed Customs Broker
• Certified Customs Specialist
• Certified Zone Specialist
