Responsibilities

• Assess data provided by clients for correctness and completeness, including authorizations and VAT shifts
• Communicate with clients, customs, or other SGS Maco departments regarding declarations
• Prepare all types of customs declarations
• Ensure correct, complete, and timely archiving of declarations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs legislation, procedures, permits, and various declaration types

Requirements

• Vocational training as a customs declarant or demonstrable work experience in the role
• Knowledge of and experience with customs legislation, procedures, and permits
• Knowledge of and experience with trade and logistics processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in Dutch and English; German is a plus
• Troubleshooting mindset and a 'getting things done' mentality
