Customs Declarant

Responsibilities

• Establish and transmit customs declarations (import/export)
• Ensure compliance of customs files (documents, nomenclature, value, origin)
• Manage specific customs regimes for petroleum products (fiscal warehouse, transit, etc.)
• Act as the interface with customs authorities
• Coordinate with field teams during vessel unloading and tanker truck loading operations
• Verify consistency between declared volumes and physical operations
• Manage documentary flows related to goods movements
• Control transport documents (BL, CMR, etc.)
• Ensure product traceability
• Participate in customs audits and controls
• Update tracking tables and reporting

Requirements

• Bac +2 to Bac +3 in customs, logistics, or international trade
• Experience in a similar role, ideally in petroleum, port, or industrial logistics environments
• Knowledge of customs regulations (Union Customs Code)
• Proficiency in customs declaration tools (DELTA or equivalent)
• Good knowledge of Incoterms and transport documents
• Rigor and attention to detail
• Ability to work in an operational/field environment
• Reactivity and priority management skills
