Customs Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Complete HTS and ECCN tariff classification determinations, reviews, and opinions
• Submit applications for customs rulings regarding complex tariff, origin, and valuation opinions
• Maintain database integrity using internal and client software to organize workload and create reports
• Provide assistance with antidumping and countervailing duty assessments
• Liaise with business partners on customs compliance issues
• Deliver exceptional customer support by resolving inquiries promptly and effectively
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook to manage tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Business, International Business, or a similar discipline
• Minimum 2 years of classification experience with expert knowledge of HTS principles
• At least 1 year of experience determining ECCN export classification codes
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• US Customs broker’s license
• CCS designation
• CES (Certified Export Specialist) certification
