Customs Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Complete FTA determinations and reviews, identifying necessary solicitation and classification workloads for qualification.
• Assist with Trade Program projects, audits, and verification programs.
• Maintain database integrity using various client and provider software to manage workloads.
• Provide brokers and clients with FTA document support and create detailed reports.
• Assist in drafting compliance processes and related work instructions.
• Act as a liaison with business partners on Customs compliance issues, providing diplomatic customer service.
• Ensure accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all decision-making processes.
• Manage a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Management, Transportation, International Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of qualification experience with expert knowledge of FTA Rules of Origin and RVC calculations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Access preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Passport and willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations in Canada, the USA, or Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications

• US Customs broker’s license.
• CCS designation.
