Customs Clearance & Trade Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customs entry filings with external customs brokers
• Review and validate import documentation including commercial invoices and packing lists
• Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
• Support FTZ operations by ensuring import documentation supports accurate FTZ admissions
• Maintain organized customs entry records for CBP audits and regulatory compliance
• Partner with supply chain, procurement, and finance teams to ensure trade compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve customs documentation workflows and clearance efficiency

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in customs compliance, import/export operations, or international trade compliance
• Experience working with customs brokers and supporting customs entry documentation
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import documentation requirements
• Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments or high-volume imports
• Experience with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB)
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
• Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP)
