Customs Assistant

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customs declaration processes for flying and non-flying materials using auxiliary declaration systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to customs regulations, internal management standards, and AEO compliance.
• Classify customs tariff numbers (HS Codes) accurately for all declarations.
• Validate customs declaration files and supporting documentation from internal departments and external brokers/freight forwarders.
• Provide clear clearance instructions and documentation packages to customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Facilitate physical customs inspections and manage customs gate pass applications.
• Maintain operational data in the customs logbook, trade management systems, and SAP.
• Collaborate with global teams and cross-functional departments to resolve documentation issues and implement new business workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and CET-4 certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customs or import/export operations.
• Proficiency in using SAP, trade management systems, and customs single window systems.
• Solid knowledge of HS code classification and air/sea transportation flows.
• Fluent oral and written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and a strong sense of responsibility.
